I find myself wondering on Sunday where in the world the weekend went, somehow on Friday it feels like there is all of this time until Monday rolls around but on Sunday it feels like just the opposite.
Job update. So I had my work meeting on Friday and it went very well. Turns out I will be at John Deere headquarters in Moline everyday with an ID badge, phone and e-mail all through John Deere. I do have access to some confidential information already which is kind of fun so I'll have to make sure I don't slip up and get fired too quickly...lol. John Deere hasn't updated their facilities at headquarters since they built them about 40 years ago, so I will be helping with the $80 Million remodel over the next two years. I am more on the facilities planning half of the job. When they need people moved, I help to figure out where to put them and how to space plan all of that. I will be working with all new plans that come in to make sure that they were done right and get coded and categorized correctly. A lot of computer work but I think that it will end up being a lot more than that once they figure out how much I could help with. I am officially in the "glass palace" on the main headquarters that overlooks the lake and the perfectly manicured lawns, swans and all. It should be awesome. I start Monday May 12th!
