The whole trip started out with the intent of trading the Civic for a truck. A guy from Texas saw the Civic when it was on E-bay and wanted to trade cars with Aaron. The truck was supposedly very fast and a descent truck, so off we headed to Missouri to meet the guy from Texas and swap vehicles.
Bye bye Civic!! This was a really awesome casino that we stopped at when we were waiting in Missouri. It was brand new and most of it won't open until November.
So the moral of the story goes....the guy from Texas didn't tell us the whole truth about the condition of the truck. Aaron didn't think that it was as fast as he claimed it was and the truck itself was falling apart. The front bumper was held on with zip-ties, the front windshield was broken, and he trailered it to where we met which made me wonder if we wouldn't make it home if we tried to drive it......so we didn't trade.We did however get a flat tire!
So classy....Good work though Aaron!
Next funny story...we missed our turn and ended up in St Louis! It was AWESOME!
It took a little longer to get home, but it was sooo worth it!
I got to see the arch!!! It was amazing and I really want to go back sometime when we can go up in it!
It was HUGE!
We then came upon Historic Route 66. How cool!!
It was a very fun trip for nothing!We went to:
Iowa
Illinois
Missouri
Oklahoma,
Kansas City,
St Louis,
Spring Field
Peoria
All in less than 2 days!!
