The mud pit!

The garage is down and almost all of the concrete is out!
I have a friend at work whose boyfriend owns a lot along the Rock River. Turns out he was looking for concrete to put along the bank to help stop the dirt from washing away. He even owned all of the equipment needed to come, break up the concrete, load it into a trailer and haul it away! He came last weekend when we were at Caden's first birthday party, made 6 TRIPS from here to his lot and had it all gone before we even got home around 8:30! We're talking MAJOR costs savings on that one!
Since the concrete was taken away we've had about 5 inches of rain within a few days so we now have a very LARGE mud pit in the backyard! Oh well..... We've been talking to Diercks (who will be doing all of the excavating and new concrete work) to get that scheduled hopefully in the next week or so. He came out to find our property stakes and turns out ALL of ours are gone...he said this was the first house he's ever done when all 4 stakes were gone. We have to find some of the neighbors stakes and measure down according to the city plot map as to where our property is, then we'll be well on our way!
