smashing pumpkins

Well I'm sorry to report that our creative pumpkin has been smashed already by the rat pack of 10 year old boys that wander our neighborhood. It brought me much sadness today to find it in the street being run over by cars.... *sigh* oh well lesson learned on leaving them out at night i guess......

On an up note Madison and I got to go with mom today to help her pick out some baby kittens to foster. She intended to leave with two and ended up leaving with three due to a special case. One is black with while spots here or there and 4 white paws (so far we named her Tag because she's impossible to catch because she's so playful) She's about 3 months old and was very energetic and play and play for hours once set free at mom's. The second kitty is a little boy who is a long haired grey tiger. She's so funny and thinks he's really tough stuff (his name thus far is poof or fluff ball). He's quite funny and is sure a snuggler which I enjoyed. The third kitty is why mom ended up taking three home. There was a little kitty that the shelter got 7 days ago, she was found in a moving van and had been locked in there for 4 full days. Who in their right mind could leave a 5 week old little calico kitten in the back of a moving van is just besides me. The poor little baby is a little skittish and a little skinny but with proper love and care and some other kitties to play with her she should bounce back to a normal happy healthy life with hopefully no memory of that treatorous experience! She's so sweet and purrs when you hold her, but when you let her down she forgets how brave she is and tends to hide underneath the hutch in the kitchen. We plan to go over again to take pictures of Madison playing with them soon, she loves poof the best as he's tiny and feisty, she grabs him up and starts carrying him around like a toy....it's so funny....lol.
