This has been one of the busiest weeks of work that I can remember. I started moving about 225 people into the newly completed office building on Monday. I'm so happy to say that it's been going really well but each day 25 more people move which means more work each day. Since we are remodeling this building half at a time the South side is now finished and the North starts demo as everyone moves out. It's so fun and exciting to know that no one would have moved without me but it's a lot of work and responsibility at the same time. I've also been working on a big project for my boss's boss which gives me a great opportunity. I'm pretty much working on a large scale puzzle game trying to get 20 people into a space that there aren't 20 workstations. I'm shifting other groups around between buildings trying to get it everyone to fit and benefit each of the groups. I've been working from home in the evening just to keep on top of everything!
My birthday went ok, Madison and I have a cold which automatically puts a damper on things, but I spent the day with great family and friends which makes for a great day. The French Silk pie from Village in and going to the Little Fockers movie with Aaron helped the day end fabulously. I'm excited for dinner tomorrow with my parents which is a long lived tradition that had to get postponed due to dad being out of town. I've been craving Japanese for a while now and turns out dad has too, so it should be a delicious date!
I'm also anxiously awaiting our new bedroom set for our bedroom! Turns out the high style of Chicago spurred Aaron into wanting more and apparently our bedroom was the target. We found an awesome bedroom set with great sliding drawers for a great price! We got 1 nightstand, the chest of drawers and the mirror as well as the bed frame. We already have the king mattress so that was one less thing to buy. It's a beautiful chocolate colored wood and apparently so many people like it we'll get all of the parts except for the bed which is back ordered until APRIL! Oh well it's sooo worth the wait. Here's a pic (sorry that it's so dark....) It's going to look so awesome with the bedspread and colors in our room, YAY so excited!
Miss Madison is doing very well. She's a whopping 20 months now and into everything. She's so smart that it just amazes me. She loves cooking in her new kitchen and playing with her baby including feeding and rocking her. She's loving daycare because there are now several kiddos that are her age so they are growing and learning together. They play house, dance, sing and be silly together throughout the day. She's learning all of their names, can now count to 10, and loves to color and sing. She's always got a smile on her face and gives the absolute best hugs which really melt your heart when she tells you "Love leau" (Love you) and wants a kiss. She always says sorry if she's naughty or accidentally steps on you or the dog for that matter. She even seems to expect him to say sorry when he wags his tail in her face which is funny. She loves to say bless you when you sneeze and loves to fake sneeze so that you tell her bless you. She's also a rock start at grace before eating by folding her hangs and saying "God great, good, Amen!" We're so blessed for such a happy little girl and can't imagine the amazing year that is ahead of us.
We hope that you are well and that the year is off to a good start!
