Ok, so I've even waited a few days to post this just in case our lives change half as fast and it has been in the last few months....
So the move is on...again. We found out that the house that we want was going to be listed with a realtor in a few weeks and I'm sure it would have gone quickly. They have already moved and were very motivated to sell, besides the point that it's just darn cute. Around the same time that news came in, we were presented with the opportunity to lease our house to a family that is just moving to the area from Missouri who were looking for "a nice place to live". He is also a landlord and knows what it's like to have someone else living in your house. I have a very good feeling that they're great people and will take good care of our cute little house while they're here...
Ok, so why lease now you ask...well we had an open house last Sunday that no one came to and it was only going to get slower...with Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and snow on it's way people just aren't motivate to move. The longer our house sat, the worse it was for us, and the less (statistically) that you get in an offer. We didn't want to lose our cute little house, and this gave us the chance to get it off of the market during the worst time to sell, and then re-list it right as the best season starts as a brand new listing. We gave them a 3 month lease and then month to month from there.
We move on Wednesday night, and Friday all day and unfortunately we have hardly any help.... Mom, Holly, Dad, Sara, Craig = all out of town. We're going to have to do this all on our own with the help of Bruce and Sandy knowing that I can't lift heavy stuff......is it even possible? We'll see I guess...... : (
