In daddy arms....
Dad took the morning shift with Madison on Sunday morning and when I woke up they were still zonked out in the guest room. It was too cute to not take a picture!
Saturday we spent the first half of the day at Isabel's third birthday party and got to see Madison with all of her cousins and got this awesome picture of Great Grandma and Grandpa Houzenga with all of the grandkids!
The second half of Saturday we got to have our first "night out" while Grandma Sandy hung out with Madison. We had a wedding to go to and sure had a good time. It was nice to be out and about and free for a little while. I must say I was completely ok with being away from her for the first few hours and then just wanted to call to make sure everything was going well.....if only Sandy had her phone turned on, so I was left in suspense. Luckily everything went very well! Thanks again Sandy!Sunday we hung out at the house and did some housework. Madison and I did some MUCH needed gardening (and sadly didn't get even half of it done) because it was so out of control while Aaron spent time out in the garage pulling nails out of some lumber that we'll be using when we rebuild the garage. It was nice to relax for once....
Madison and I are just hanging out around home today writing Thank you cards for all of the wonderful gifts that she's gotten. We need to go and return a movie and find a mailbox to mail some of the Thank yous! I've also decided as of today that Madison and I need to start working on our sleeping schedules (mainly me) but last night I was up and awake until about 1:15 but then slept until almost 11 (this is a typical day for us) so I need to work on going to bed MUCH sooner and getting up earlier otherwise going back to work is going to be VERY rough......we'll see how it goes!
