So this has been the week of baby play dates for Aaron and I. On Thursday we went out to dinner with a couple from work and their little 7 month old daughter Payton. They were both sooo good at the restaurant and Payton just loved staring at little Madison. Erin and I did a baby swap so I held Payton for a while and she held Madison. I was amazed at how Payton sat up all by herself and could grab her pacifier off of the counter and insert in right into her mouth all by herself! Erin couldn't believe how little Madison was and just loved her little baby smiles. It was a really good time and we look forward to doing it again!
Today we had a baby play date with Mary, Kevin and Caden. My little godson is getting so darn big and so darn CUTE! His hair is starting to get so long and he's eating people food now. When did he get so darn BIG! As always Mary and Kevin fought over who got to hold Madison and Caden just loved to stare at his future sweetheart. (I think Mary and Kevin are planning an arranged marriage) so save the date for sometime in 2030!
Here's a picture of some of my favorite things now-a-days. The dear husband, darling daughter, and pretty pooch. Aaron's favorite thing lately since the weather has cooled down is to have fires in the back yard in our little fire pit. We trimmed some trees a while back and have some wood to burn and get out of the way before garage construction begins soon.
We've been getting many bids on the garage (or trying to anyway) seems some contractors must not be interested in new business and just don't return their bids once they come to visit. We're going to start with cleaning everything out, get the power cables and all of that stuff taken down, start demolition, and see where things go from there. We have a large tree to remove, concrete and a garage to haul away and a lot of excavating to do to turn our crappy two car garage into a three car man-cave for Aaron.
The two cooks in the kitchen making pancakes on Saturday morning....
She's got her spoon and she's ready to go. Golly she's getting big so quickly. If only she didn't get so darn stressed out in the evenings....Yes that's right we're still trying to figure out bedtime. Everything will be going so well for a while and then it just doesn't seem to work anymore so we'll try something new. She used to go to bed about 7 but would get up to eat twice in a night at 11 and 2 so we started last week keeping her up a little later until about 8 and I got a 6-1/2 hour stretch of sleep out of her one night and only have to get up at 2 to feed her. Well as of Thursday, Friday and tonight it just doesn't work anymore...she just screams and screams about 6:45-7ish wanting to go to bed so badly. I'll put her up in her crib and all she wants to do is cry cry cry. She's not interested in eating, doesn't want to be held or come down stairs, she wants to be in her crib and just cry until she poops herself out....I feel so bad but I don't know what else to do...... *sigh*. Anyway my newest idea is to let her to go bed early like the first plan BUT wake her up and feed her at 8:30ish like the second plan. MAYBE that will give me the extended sleep patterns like the second plan without the screaming..... I'll keep you posted. She's perfect all darn day but at night....yikes "ear plugs please!!"
