The new and improved

Well as you know due to all of my reveals lately I've been on this big home improvement kick lately. It seems like each weekend I pick a new project so week by week our house is just looking better and better. Well this last weekend I took our old wooden bench and gave it a little bit of a face lift.
Aaron got it from my parents 5 or so years ago. Aaron used to be really good at staining and sealing the wood each year, but we both kinda let it go.

We bought a handy little sander tool with the triangle head on it which is worth it's weight in gold. It's nice and light weight and the triangle tip lets you get into all of the corners to get a nice and even finish. I sanded down the whole bench and then found some leftover outdoor paint in the basement to finish off the metal and wood.

It looks so pretty be the hastas now.

And is nice enough that you actually want to sit on it which is always a plus.

My little tomato plants are actually starting to get little tomatoes (do you see them!!) They make me so excited as this is my first attempt at growing them.

And I thought I'd share a picture for Aunt Holly. Madison sometimes does certain things that clearly define her as my daughter like her love for Horses, her joy in drawing, or in this case the black olive fingers. I participated as well and had a great time at dinner, YUM!

Talk to you soon, thanks for stopping by!
Sarah
