So it is a dreary overcast day here in Iowa, I was fully planning on going to a friends bridal shower today but turns out my body had a different plan. I slept through a phone call and my alarm both of which were on full blast right next to my bed and missed them both! So turns out I will be relaxing today instead. Aaron has headed to Iowa City for the day to help out with some flood damage and demolition which leaves Boudreau and I with the house all to ourselves until 5 or 6. I see many chick flicks, pj's and popcorn in my future!
This week was pretty good, and it sure went by QUICKLY! I am definitely still adjusting to work and need to not worry about things as much and just smile and move on. I do LOVE the hours; I can come and go when I'd like as long as I get my 40 hours in. I worked overtime on Monday and Wednesday so I spent 3 hours at the John Deere Classic on Thursday with my Dad and 5 hours on Friday. It is quite the life when you get carted around, and have free food and drinks at your fingertips. It was awesome. Friday was VERY hot however.
I just heard from Mary and Kevin this week. Mary is getting to the miserable point in the pregnancy which is to be expected when your due date is 5 weeks away. One of our friends was due 3 days before them and delivered a healthy baby boy on Thursday. He is still considered premature because he came so early, but healthy none the less. It just made me realize that our second godchild could come any time now! WOW, I'm so excited! I know that we have an unplanned trip up to Cedar Falls sometime between now and August 13Th...it's just a question of when.
Well Boudreau is on the couch next to me snoring...and I haven't eaten lunch yet, so I hope everyone has a great weekend!
