Well I had every intention of heading off to work today and even got up early to clean off my car so that I could beat the mad rush of people trying to cross the bridge.
All efforts ended up being for nothing.....My car moved almost out of the spot where it was sitting (after 45 minutes of trying to get it to move) before sinking back down through the ice and snow where she now lies to rest..... STUCK...
I have to tell you what Aaron did (the little booger) he went over to a friends last night to borrow his GPS and upon coming home decided to park his truck in the garage so that it would de-ice and be ready to go for this morning. He drove right out and off to work he went.....
I guess there goes my two Christmas parties that I had for today....oh well..... I'm a little bummed and very unsure about how I'm going to occupy my time today, but I'll figure something out. I've been told by other employees at Deere that the odds of me actually making it into work was slim to none anyway, the roads in IL are terrible I guess. I'd rather be stuck here than somewhere else, that's for sure!
I'm thinking that I might go down and shuffle through all of the paint that was left here from Emily and Aaron and start touching up paint throughout the house from the moving shuffle and possibly start painting the master bedroom..... Then again I might just sit on the couch all darn day and sleep and watch Christmas movies.....
