busy days

Here's to blogging more than once this month!

Life has been busy and honestly stressful. I'm challenged daily to keep up and work and balance home on top of that. We are really busy at work due to the economy getting better more and more are getting hired, and for the 5,000 I can seat at Corporate that's my challenge. I've been doing high level master planning for many facilities and groups that last of which is evaluating over 1,400 people in their co-location needs and special requirements. It's so fun but soo busy and time consuming.

I have taken a little time lately to enjoy the perks of being a Deere employee. One will be in this post and I'll post another in a few minutes. We purchased two new loaders for winter so we took two shifts to go to Davenport Works for a gold key tour of the factory. Because we were "buyers" we got to take a special tour which included walking through 4 of the factory lines while they were building the machines. It was incredible.

We even got to see our machine come off of the line and one of the guys got to start it for the first time.
The new toy. I got up there in the drivers seat and they tricked me into starting the darn thing because I wasn't aware they don't use keys anymore....."push the green button" ha ha "HOW THE HECK DO YOU TURN THIS THING OFF!!"

Miss Madison down at the Pavilion in one of the machines.

And a few pictures from Halloween that I never posted. We had a Garden Gnome this year that did so great. She was wonderful at asking nicely "trick-or-treat" and also giving out candy at our house to the neighbor kids. She got excited every time we had someone come up to the door.

She's been such a good girl lately and is very interested in reading and learning. She can read the words without help: hat, pig, cup, and ball in books with many many other words. I'm so proud of her. She LOVES to sing and lately play hide-and-go-seek.

This weekend I'm hoping to go down to the Pavilion for the lighting of the Commons. Apparently they have hot chocolate, the lighting of the trees and wreaths, and they even have fireworks. Sounds fun to me :)
