As I dug out each plant Madison was right up there with her rain boots sitting in the dirt looking for bugs and worms. She was my little helper for a few hours (the tiki torch was for the bugs in case you were wondering...lol)
Madison talking to the worm: "HI, HI worm, I'm Madison!" with such enthusiasm it just made me laugh and melted my heart all at the same time. She's so polite it just blows my mind, she says excuse me, and I'm sorry, and please and thank you, and bless you each time. She's just so cute (I know I'm biased, but have you seen this little girl!?)
Ta-da!
They are all so nicely spaced and sized with varying colors and sizes. I want to say a HUGE thank you to Sandy for donating some plants for my efforts, and to my dad who also donated plans for the landscaping as well as coming to save me by helping right when I was so tired I didn't know if I could do it anymore. THANK YOU DAD!
I am so excited for them to come back in about a week as they are still a little droopy from being dug up. I found several plants that I didn't know I had, moved quite a few that just weren't happy where they were, and also found three decorative rocks with moss on them that of which I only knew that i had one! I am SO pleased with the results and cannot wait to see the plans grow and flourish in their new locations with some space to grow!
I was so sore that night Aaron commented that I was walking like my grandparents. We got plants from Sandy's house, my dad's house, entirely re-did our house, planted a lot of hastas at our rental house, gave several plants to two of our neighbors, and Aaron's boss, and still gave some away to people driving by that wanted some. Needless to say I'm SOOOO glad that it's done!!!!!
You'll have to swing by to check it out sometime soon!
Sarah
