Aaron and I have decided that we're going to take a trip this fall with our great friends Mary and Kevin.....the question is where! It will be Mary and Kevin's first night away from Caden (which is totally crazy!) but we'll have so much fun!

go in the late summer or early fall to Mackinac Island for 4 days...will take a good full day traveling there each way but so worth it. otherwise Chicago but that would be expensive.
Depends if you want to go far or close by. Not too far and a really fun trip (if you like camping) would be go to to the Michigan dunes at the Warren Dunes state park. Good hiking, beach, climbing the dunes, and camp fires. If you don't want to go outdoorsy I would suggest renting a cabin in Door County or even better, going to Anna Maria Island in Florida if you want to do a Sunny, beautiful Beach. It's where we got married!
I would have to agree Mackinac Island is pretty neat to spend a few days. The worst would be spending a lot of time in the car to get there. If you want to fly, I would highly suggest Savannah, Georgia.
