We didn't really have any big plans which is sooo nice when you can get away with it. I spent a lot of time finishing up my third book (since Christmas mind you) which is so not me the casual reader who reads about 4 pages a night before falling asleep. I love the Nook!! I just finished Look Again by Lisa Scottoline which was really very good. It's about a lady who adopted a little boy when he was one. He's three now, and one day she got a flier in the mail, one of those have you seen this child adds for missing children and one looks unmistakably like her son. She searches for the truth, you'll be shocked at what she finds. It had twists that I didn't see coming and I'm usually pretty good at figuring that stuff out.
Other than that we spent time with family and enjoyed church on Saturday. I even got my grocery run out of the way leaving Sunday to a wonderfully relaxing day with my family. Aaron wanted to go to the car show, not for the cars but for Madison so she could visit the petting zoo that they had. Boy was this a hit!
We also took another side trip on our way home to our friends fish store. Madison's new favorite movie is Finding Nemo (I'm glad for a Bug's Life break...) so we went to the fish store to visit Nemo and Dorie. She loved all of the fish, snakes, turtles, and lizards.
While she napped for a few hours I did some major cleaning. Not just the typical cleaning, i mean deep cleaning. I got the Good Will pile sorted, the old dressers out of our room, washed all sheets and dirty clothes, scrubbed the kitchen floor, and the bathroom sink, etc. I finally put all of my snowmen in the house away as I've finally decided with all of this warm weather that I'm more than ready for spring!!!
Well I hope that you've enjoyed the warm weather weekend. We don't have any special plans for V-day. Madison has a party at daycare so her cutsey outfit is set out and ready to go and all of her valentines are ready. I made a french silk pie for our special v-day treat. The first time she ever had pie was for my birthday, so we sang happy birthday. Now, every time we have special desert she says so excitedly "Happy to you!!, Happy to you!!" Goof, but it's so darn cute.
Happy Valentines day!
